We took a very quick trip to Iowa over the weekend for Rollie’s sister Rachel’s baby shower. We stayed at a hotel called the Ramada Tropics Resort. Rollie had the idea that we should stay in a hotel with a pool, but this is WAY more than I expected. The Ramada had a huge pool system with sports pool, an enormous (and scary) twisty water slide, and a huge kids pool with slides. That pool was just one foot deep and had a giant pirate ship with three slides and fountains and a row boat slide too. At the base of the slides were foam landing pads, so they were just perfect for our little guy. We played in the pool with Hudson all morning and then got ready for the shower.
Rachel is due in November and having a boy, so for the shower I had a giant floor tote for toys made with Hunter’s name embroidered on it. We had snacks and played lots of games at the shower, which was held at Rhonda’s house. Rachel got so many nice gifts and had a wonderful turnout of guests too.
