When we arrived home from the hospital, we had the most amazing "welcome baby" gift waiting from Emily & Matt Davison. They had put together a custom newborn portrait package from a photographer in town. I’m not sure I would have thought to schedule a portrait session so early if they hadn’t given us this gift. Melissa Pfannenstiel of Captures in Time photography was fantastic and provided great instructions on how to get those cute, sleepy baby shots. My sister arrived in Kansas City the day before the photo session was scheduled and immediately got to work on knitting a hat (with tiny ears) for Hudson. We definitely got those adorable sleepy baby shots we wanted, plus some bright-eyed ones to use for our baby announcements.
And the black and white shots of the family turned out beautifully as well. Check out the Captures in Time web site here; Baby Hudson is currently featured on the site!
Rollie and Emily were married in June 2008 in Napa Valley. We are both transplants (Iowa and Nebraska respectively), now living in Prairie Village, Kansas with our pug Molly and our son Hudson, who was born April 29, 2010. We love wine, running, entertaining, and swooning over Hudson. Rollie works in corporate real estate and loves to golf and grill. Emily works in marketing and PR and loves coffee and shopping online.
